Install the app
You can use French Bites in the browser anytime — no App Store or Play Store download. If you'd rather open it from your home screen like an app, follow the steps below.
Select your phone to see the steps.
On iPhone
French Bites is not on the App Store. On iPhone, Add to Home Screen saves the page you are viewing — not a separate “app link”. The marketing homepage (frenchbites.app/) is not the learning app.
Open frenchbites.app/app (Search · Quiz · Scenario), then use Add to Home Screen from Safari or Chrome. If you already added a shortcut from the homepage, delete it first and add again from /app/.

Open frenchbites.app/app in Safari or Chrome (the Search · Quiz · Scenario screen — opens in a new tab).

Tap the Share button (square with an upward arrow).

Chrome — Share in the address bar -
Scroll the menu and tap Add to Home Screen.

Confirm the name French Bites, then tap Add.

Open French Bites from the new icon — it should open the app home (Search, Quiz, Scenario), not the marketing page.
On Android (Chrome)
French Bites is not on the Play Store. Install from frenchbites.app/app in Chrome — the three-button app home, not the marketing homepage.

Open frenchbites.app/app in Chrome (the app home screen — opens in a new tab).

Tap the menu ⋮ (top right).

Tap Install and create shortcut.

Tap Install to confirm.

Open French Bites from the new icon on your home screen.
Select your browser to see the steps.
In Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- Go to frenchbites.app/app (opens in a new tab).
- In the address bar, click the Install icon (often a monitor with a download arrow), or open the browser menu.
- Choose Install French Bites / Install app and confirm.
Can’t find the icon? Menu → look for Install French Bites, Cast, save and share → Install, or Settings search for “Install app”.
In Safari on Mac
- Go to frenchbites.app/app (opens in a new tab).
- Click File → Add to Dock (wording may vary by macOS version), or use the Share sheet → Add to Dock.
- Open French Bites from the Dock.
This uses the same French Bites web app as on phones — not a separate Mac App Store build.
In Mozilla Firefox
Firefox support for installing web apps varies by system. For the smoothest install, use Chrome, Edge, or (on Mac) Safari.
